Here's a look into what we've been up to in the last few months.
ROLLER DERBY WOLRD CUP
We were proud to be invited to film the first ever Roller Derby World Cup in Toronto. An epic 4-day tournament where 15 countries battled it out for the World Champion title. This was an an ambitious video production as action was happening simultaneously on 2 tracks. Each track was its own multi-camera production with live mixed video streaming live to Derby News Network (DNN), that included scoreboard graphic overlay, and announcer commentary. Each bout was recorded to DVD that was available for purchase within 15 minutes of the bout's end, and DVDs now available online.
THE WANDAS / MATT & KIM / MAT KEARNEY
In the past year, Lands' End Canvas has done some neat partnering with various national artists. Their desire was to create a great deal of interesting video content including these artists that could be made available over the web as a way to help create brand awareness for Lands' End, as well as attract some new business. What that meant for us was being involved in some pretty interested projects. It was an excuse to dive into HTML5 video, edit band interviews and shoot few live concerts. Because of partnership agreements, some of the videos had a shelf-life, but a few can still be see a couple:
The Wandas - Abandon Ship
The Wandas - Do or Die
OUTERWEAR VIDEO
This was edited for the Winter line of clothing. Video was taken from a photoshoot B-roll on a Digital SLR. Voice over was later scripted and recorded after generating a rough cut from video.
WI UNION / TOM MORELLO / WAYNE KRAMER
Madison saw its share of excitement this past fall. In protest of the controversial bills past, some major rock and roll power houses came to town for a free concert, that we recorded on SD cameras in full.

ACT RIDE DOCUMENTARY PROJECT
Thought there was an interesting story to be told about a three-day bike race in Wisconsin that is designed to raise funding and AIDS awareness. We followed the riders, gather interviews and stunning footage of rural Wisconsin's scenic countryside. We are working to release an inital video in January as part of a larger project we will hope to release in 2013. More to follow.
